What We Do:

  • Listen to your concerns
  • Provide information on university policies and procedures
  • Clarify and discuss issues
  • Help identify various options for resolving problems
  • Gather information and refer you to other resources
  • Offer coaching to prepare you for difficult conversations
  • Track and analyze perceived issues and trends
  • Advocate for fair processes and equitable application
  • Recommend improvements to university policies, rules, or procedures

What We Don't Do:

  • Make decisions or determinations of fact
  • Establish, modify, or override policies
  • Provide legal advice
  • Offer psychological counseling
  • Participate in grievances or other formal processes
  • Take action on behalf of individual staff members
